The aim of the competition is to select craft establishments that, while employing young workers, comply with legal labor protections and occupational health and safety regulations, and by implementing practical vocational training programs, achieve the highest quality in the vocational education of students.
In accordance with the competition regulations, the directors of vocational schools selected, from among 198 vocational teachers, 15 whom the students considered deserving of the title of “BEST VOCATIONAL TEACHER”.
During Thursday’s gala at the Old Theatre, nominations were received by: Zbigniew Korczowski, Irena Gesner, Dariusz Kurowski, Anna Branc, Mirosław Senyszyn, Wiesława Senyszyn, Marcin Skrzypacz, Justyna Kopycińska, Rafał Tomczyk, Elżbieta Kłonicka, Kamil Gorczyca, Kamila Kruk, Szymon Ziółkowski, Justyna Szewczyk and Grzegorz Orawiec.
That evening, we also learned the names of the winners of the Best Vocational Teacher title for the 2022/23 school year. Zbigniew Korczowski took first place; he trains students in the confectioner and baker professions. Second place was awarded to Wiesława Senyszyn, who trains students in ceramic decoration, while third place went to Szymon Ziółkowski, who trains students in the cooking profession.
The hosts of the gala were Bolesławiec County Governor Tomasz Gabrysiak and Guild Senior Grażyna Matczak. During the ceremony, congratulations and good wishes were expressed in speeches by the Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, Cezary Przybylski, Mayor Piotr Roman, Vice-President of the Lower Silesian Chamber of Crafts Zygmunt Rzucidło, and President of the Board of the Foundation for the Development of Education and Entrepreneurship Jerzy Karasiuk.
The gala was enhanced by performances from young artists from Bolesławiec and Kabaret K2.
