Although ceremonies for presenting the Bolesławiec County Head’s Awards and Scholarships have been held for years, the solemn moment of honoring outstanding students from secondary schools in Bolesławiec County has the warmth of a family celebration, as parents also receive congratulations together with their children—undoubtedly co-authors of this success.
This year, 64 scholarships were awarded for outstanding academic results, 29 awards for sporting, scientific and artistic achievements, and 24 awards for the best graduates. A tradition of the ceremony is that one of the county schools co-organizes the gala. This time, it was the School Complex of Mechanics, supported by the Piarist Order High School and the Youth Cultural Centre.
The gala’s central theme was passion, which is certainly close to all the beneficiaries of the ceremony, as well as to the talented and inquisitive students of the School Complex of Mechanics in Bolesławiec. Thanks to this, we could see them in a different light—as musicians, graphic artists, astrophotographers, and finally filmmakers and cabaret performers who creatively use their time and talent while seeking their place in the world.
Once again, the presentation of the Bolesławiec County Head’s awards and scholarships was given the setting of an exceptional artistic undertaking. The prestigious presentation continued in the statuettes received by the honorees. For many years, these have been specially dedicated forms created by Mateusz Grobelny. Meanwhile, the graduates received personalized gold pens engraved with a dedication from Bolesławiec County Head Tomasz Gabrysiak.
It is worth emphasizing that aspiring to participate in the county scholarship program has become an ambition not only for schools in the county, but also a personal goal of individual students seeking greater development and the positive benefits it brings. This motivational and inspirational element ultimately has considerable importance in the overall ranking and condition of educational institutions, as emphasized at Tuesday’s gala by Lower Silesian Education Superintendent Roman Kowalczyk, who praised our schools as having been the best in Lower Silesia for years.
