– I think we all support an open, tolerant state. A place for everyone, a place where there is no homophobia. That is why I am here: to mark my presence and, above all, to say that it is unacceptable for anyone to stigmatize the LGBT minority in Poland. You can march with a smile, be open and tolerant – said Piotr Borys.

In response to the journalist’s statement that there was a chance that a lot would now change after these elections, the MP replied:

– There is a chance. I deeply believe that civil partnerships will be the first step. Simply such a minimum, which I think all the opposition parties promised. Let’s start with that, let’s respect one another and just do it. So that Poland can truly be European.

MP Piotr Borys achieved the best result in the constituency no. 1 on the Civic Coalition list in the October elections.

Around 250 people took part in the first march in Bolesławiec.
