Update 2023-10-19
As we read on the social media profile of the elected MP:
In connection with the publication by one of the local online portals of information about my election banner being hung on the fence of the Police Station in Osiecznica, I inform you that it was not hung there by me or by people involved in my election campaign. The banner in question was most likely cut from another property and hung on the Police Station fence for the purpose of a political attack. In Osiecznica Municipality, my election banners and posters were repeatedly destroyed. They were torn down and painted over many times, particularly in the following localities: Parowa and Tomisław.
In accordance with the regulations, the hanging of the banner on properties had been preceded by the owners’ consent.
The politician added:
I regard this action as a political provocation directed against me (emphasis – istotne.pl). I hope that the recording from this location has been secured, which will make it possible to identify the person hanging the banner.
At the same time, I inform you that I am fully at the Police’s disposal in order to fully clarify this matter.
Let us recall. A Reader wrote to us via Facebook on Monday:
(…) in Osiecznica, at the roundabout, Mr Pogoda’s banner is hanging on the fence belonging to the police station. Is that allowed?
And clarified:
The banner appeared on Friday; the photo was taken yesterday (that is, on Monday, 16 October – editor’s note: istotne.pl).
And noted: – The police officers must have seen the banner, because on election day they were driving around checking polling stations.
We asked the Bolesławiec police about the matter. Staff aspirant Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer of the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters:
The banner was put up without our consent. We are conducting proceedings concerning an offence under Article 495 of the Electoral Code.
