This is the BKS we want to watch, one could say after Saturday’s match, in which the team, already under new coach Mateusz Mucha, defeated Prochowiczanka Prochowice. Bolesławiec were already losing 0–2, but they managed to rally and equalize before halftime.

The signal to make up the deficit was given in the 30th minute by Filip Zagórski. Before halftime, the score was 2–2 after an own goal by a Prochowiczanka player. Celebrating the equalizer, the BKS players made a football cradle dedicated to Artur Spraski, who had recently become a father.

Two more goals for BKS were scored in the second half. The team captain, Jacek Bochnia, put Bolesławiec ahead 3–2 by successfully converting a penalty. At the end of the match, Piotr Skiba. set the final score at 4–2 for BKS. It is worth noting that Bolesławiec played with 10 men for the final several minutes. Filip Zagórski, the scorer, had to leave the field after receiving a second yellow card and, consequently, a red card.

Watch the goal that made it 3–2 for BKS and the players’ celebration after the match:

We asked team captain Jacek Bochnia for a brief comment on the match:

We started the match sluggishly. The playing conditions on the pitch are very difficult and it is very muddy. We conceded two goals due to mistakes, which motivated us to play, and with a bit of luck we equalized before halftime.

After the break, hungry for victory, we went looking for more goals, although in the meantime we received a second yellow card and consequently a red card. Overall, I consider the match to have been a hard-fought one in difficult conditions.

In a week, Bolesławiec will host Piast Żmigród at Rajska in Bolesławiec.

On election Sunday (15 October), BKS II will face Kolonia Bolesławiec in the city derby. The match will be played at the OWS pitch on Spacerowa Street. Kick-off is at 3:00 p.m.
