Officers from the Police Station in Nowogrodziec detained a 33-year-old man who had abused his mother. The Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters reported: – The man repeatedly started arguments while under the influence of alcohol; he disturbed the nighttime peace, pushed and grabbed the woman.
It added: – He also insulted the victim and threatened to take her life. The resident of Nowogrodziec municipality additionally damaged the apartment door.
Importantly, the 33-year-old aggressor was already subject to a restraining order prohibiting him from approaching the victim, but he ignored it.
The result? The attacker was brought before the District Prosecutor’s Office in Bolesławiec, where he was charged. The Bolesławiec court then ordered our local man held in temporary custody for three months.
The suspect is a repeat offender; he had previously been convicted of abusing another woman. (The verdict in that case was issued by the Złotoryja court.) The 33-year-old now faces up to 7.5 years in prison.
