Abu Dhabi Combat Club—the precursor to and the world’s largest organization for submission fighting. It organizes the prestigious ADCC World Submission Fighting Championships tournament, in which the world’s leading grapplers compete.
Corporal Adam Smulski, a soldier of the 10th Armored Cavalry Brigade in Świętoszów, won the European silver medal.
European runner-up:
I prepared during my leave using our brigade gym and nearby sports clubs, such as Malinowski Team and MB BJJ Szprotawa. Unfortunately, my preparations were not ideal, as I came down with the flu a week before the competition, but I managed to recover by taking antibiotics. (...) I competed in the 91 kg Advanced category, as it is intended for highly advanced competitors but excludes the most dangerous techniques, such as spinal locks or twisting knee locks.
