This year marks the second birthday of Galeria Concordia. On Friday, September 24, a birthday dance party will be held. It starts at 8:00 p.m.. Admission is free. “It will be a dancing party, a wedding-themed dance event,” announces Grzegorz Roman, the founder of the gallery. “There will be lots of balloons, disco polo and wedding music. Everyone will be able to have a great time.”

The gallery’s very first project, “Ona i On,” ended in great success. “At the time, we wanted to showcase the work of people from Bolesławiec and the surrounding area—both well-known figures and those who were just beginning their artistic journey,” Roman recalls. “Three to four hundred people came to the weekly openings. Concordia became a place that was needed, a place one simply had to visit.”

“We did not expect such a strong response,” emphasizes the gallery’s founder. “Our aim was to create a place for creative activity. And we succeeded. We are not competing with anyone and are nobody’s enemies. We hope this gallery will operate for many years.”

As Roman emphasizes, Galeria Concordia is intended to be a place where everyone—not only young people—can pursue their passions. Its music and sculpture studios remain active. Concordia has also hosted two finals of the Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy. “We want Concordia to make a splash again this autumn,” says the gallery’s founder.
