Let us recall: The match played on August 27 between BKS II and Sparta Zebrzydowa was abandoned before the end of the first half (the 40th minute), with BKS leading 1–0 (after a goal by Adrian Biały).
As we have already reported: From the beginning of the match, play was rough, and the referee showed several yellow cards to players from both teams. After the first quarter of an hour, the visitors were playing with fewer players after one of their players received a second yellow card and, consequently, a red card. In the following minutes, the atmosphere on the pitch became increasingly tense. There were many fouls and too much rough play. At the same time, the visitors had more and more complaints about the referees, whom they believed were officiating unfairly. It was unsettled both on and off the pitch. Some people lost their tempers and insults were hurled.
As a result, more Sparta players received red cards and had to leave the field. Additionally, one dissatisfied spectator—probably a visiting-team supporter—threw a can onto the pitch in the direction of the assistant referee, then left the area. The assistant referee reported this to the main referee. As a result, the referee decided to abandon the match.
On Thursday, September 7, the Disciplinary Commission of the Jelenia Góra Subdistrict of DZPN decided to punish both clubs:
- BKS II Bolesławiec was fined for failing to ensure proper order and safety during the match. The accused voluntarily
submitted to disciplinary responsibility. - Sparta Zebrzydowa was fined and awarded a walkover for violating order and safety regulations, meaning that 3 points were awarded to the team from Bolesławiec. In its justification, the commission states that Sparta Zebrzydowa supporters caused the match to be abandoned through their conduct. Earlier, at the commission’s meeting on September 1, the team from Zebrzydowa received a fine for a disciplinary offense in the same match: at least five of the team’s players received a caution (yellow card) or were sent off (red card).
