“Improving the energy efficiency of the buildings of the Construction School Complex in Bolesławiec” is the name of the project thanks to which the Construction School Complex in Bolesławiec has gained a new lease of life.
– It is a pleasure to invest in a school like this – said Bolesławiec County Starost Tomasz Gabrysiak during the ceremonial start of the new school year at the Construction School Complex in Bolesławiec.
After many months of construction work, the students returned to completely different buildings. As part of the project, the buildings were insulated and new façades were installed, while the basement walls were waterproofed. The exterior doors and windows, as well as the heating system and lighting, were replaced. A photovoltaic installation was fitted on each building. The project was completed by new elements of the landscaping around the buildings.
– I would like to sincerely thank everyone who made this reconstruction possible. We will not only avoid energy losses, but above all, maintenance costs will be reduced – said Jacek Jurkiewicz, Director of the Construction School Complex in Bolesławiec.
The event was particularly special. There were wishes for the students and teachers for the new school year, as well as thanks to those directly involved in the school’s reconstruction. Students and teachers added a special touch to the ceremony with artistic performances.
The event was attended, among others, by Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship Cezary Przybylski, Member of the Sejm Szymon Pogoda, Bolesławiec County Starost Tomasz Gabrysiak, Permanent Member of the Board of Bolesławiec County Stanisław Chwojnicki, Secretary of Bolesławiec County Sylwia Chruszcz, Treasurer of Bolesławiec County Renata Kozinoga, Head of the Department of Education, Culture and Sport Katarzyna Zięba, Deputy Head of the Department of Education, Culture and Sport Mariusz Mendocha, Head of the Department of Investment and Public Procurement Ewa Rendecka-Woch, First Deputy Chair of the County Council Barbara Kuduk, and the contractors.
The value of the investment, whose main objective is to improve the energy efficiency of educational buildings in Bolesławiec County, is PLN 3,818,863.96, of which PLN 2,689,799.25 comes from funding.
