Update 2:00 p.m.

The Bolesławiec County Headquarters of the State Fire Service reported on the fire:

At 8:37 a.m., a report was received by the District Headquarters Communications Center in Bolesławiec concerning a fire in a residential building in Nowogrodziec. After units of the Fire Protection Service arrived at the scene, they began extinguishing the boiler room and stairwell, preventing the fire from spreading to the residential area. Two people were injured and received qualified first aid from firefighters. After the fire was extinguished, combustible material was removed from the boiler room.

The following took part in the operation:

  • 1 unit of the Nowogrodziec Osiedle Volunteer Fire Department,
  • 3 units of the Volunteer Fire Department in Nowogrodziec,
  • 4 units of the Bolesławiec Rescue and Firefighting Unit.

Update 11:02 a.m.

Firefighters from Nowogrodziec reported on the incident:

At 8:37 a.m. (...) we were called to a house fire in Nowogrodziec, on Ołdrzychowska Street. We immediately headed to the incident with a firefighting platoon consisting of 3 units.

They added:

Together with the Nowogrodziec Osiedle Volunteer Fire Department, we are directing water streams. The boiler room was on fire. We protected the stairwell and the residential part of the house. Three units from the Bolesławiec Rescue and Firefighting Unit also arrived to help.

They also added: – Further operations involve extinguishing the remaining pockets of fire and removing the stored combustible material from the boiler room.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, August 29. At 8:37 a.m., firefighters received a report of a fire in a building on Ołdrzychowska Street in Nowogrodziec. The fire broke out in the boiler room, and two people were injured. (A doctor is to determine how serious their injuries are.)
