On Tuesday, August 2, Bartosz wrote to us, and we immediately shared his appeal:
Good morning, I kindly ask you to publish this. I lost my glasses. I am earning extra money during the holidays, and because of this (losing my glasses—editor’s note), I will have to spend everything I earn on buying new ones. I would be very grateful if you published my appeal. I sincerely hope that someone found them.
As always in such situations, our readers showed empathy and tried to help by sharing the post. This was how Marek Marzec from the VisionOptyk salon on Prusa Street read it. The owners of the salon at Prusa Street, Marek Marzec and Łukasz Kuroń, invited Bartosz for a free eye examination and then gave him a new pair of glasses.
Bartosz reacted with immense gratitude.
I am immensely grateful to you for publishing my appeal together with your comment. I did not expect either such a response or, even more so, such a turn of events. I am still in shock, especially since I did not choose the cheapest glasses and wanted to pay extra, but they would not agree to it.
In return for VisionOptyk’s generous gift, our editorial team offered the company free publication of this story. What goes around comes around, and thanks to you, there is always a little more of it in Bolesławiec. Thank you.
