The incident took place on Monday, July 24. After 9:00 p.m., the first fire service units were dispatched to Chrobrego Street. The report indicated that an apartment was on fire. It also stated that one person was inside, but was not responding, and the door was locked.
The situation appeared serious, so many firefighter units were sent to the scene, including two vehicles equipped with ladders.
As it turned out, however, the cause of all the commotion was… a meal left on the stove. Most of the dispatched units were turned back.
Ultimately, only firefighters from Bolesławiec took part in the operation. The danger was eliminated; fortunately, no one was hurt.
