At noon on June 1, Adrian Kostera jumped into the Oława River from Odrza Centrum near Grunwaldzki Bridge in Wrocław, thus beginning the Challenge – 365 Triathlon. The triathlete intends to break the Guinness World Record for the longest triathlon, covering 40,170 km. The athlete trained for the challenge #NaPolanie, where he has the best conditions for taking care of his fitness before starting this extraordinary challenge.

The triathlon will last 365 days and will include approximately: 1,205 km (67 days x 18 km) of swimming, 31,132 km (155 days x 200 km) of cycling, and 7,833 km of running (143 days x 55 km). In total, this will amount to more than 40,000 kilometers traveled by human power (in water, on land, including running and cycling) around the world.

#NaPolanie is one of the most modern facilities of its kind in Europe. It consists of a spacious stadium and a biathlon shooting range, as well as a main building housing, among other things, all the facilities needed to organize competitions.

“The new facility will certainly also help organize subsequent editions of the winter Bieg Piastów, increase the comfort of participants and fans, as well as everyone who visits this place every day,” says Maciej Klóska, president of the Lower Silesian Park of Innovation and Science, which manages the #NaPolanie facility.

Since the Lower Silesian Sports Center began operating, the facility has also been used by students of the Sports Championship School and other local schools. Young biathletes train here regularly during the week, making use of the roller-ski track and sports shooting range.

#NaPolanie works closely with representatives of sports associations and the athletes themselves, who see the center as a place to prepare for the most important competitions.
