Pečenica 2023 will take place on Sunday, 2 July in the Manor Park in Gościszów. The programme includes:

- 18:45 – announcement of the winner of the tastiest Pečenica competition

- 20:00 – DON VASYL
- 21:30 – dancing under the stars with Kapela Na Wesoło.

Don Vasyl is a poet and an animator of the cultural movement of Polish Gypsies. His poems were published in two poetry collections, “Kujawy piórem malowane” (1995) and “Twórcy regionu 2” (1996). He is the author of the poetry collection “Pasażerowie niebieskiego taboru” (1998, reissued in 2005) and the songbook “Piosenki Don Vasyla – Jedno jest niebo dla wszystkich” (2007), as well as the creator of a Gypsy woman’s monologue for the play “Mam na imię Psyche”, directed by Marek Wysocki and performed by Anna Maria Grabińska. The play premiered in April 2013. Don Vasyl’s two latest solo albums, “Niech pędzą konie” from 2011 and “Gdzie moja młodość” from 2013, were received with great enthusiasm by fans of not only Gypsy music. Don Vasyl & Roma Don Vasyl is the organizer and originator of the International Roma Song and Culture Festival.
