As we read on the website of the Bolesławiec Municipality:

Dividing the students into age groups, the officers held talks about the specifics of their work and the duties they perform, and demonstrated to everyone the equipment with which their vehicle is equipped. The boys were most intrigued by the shears used for cutting metal sheets. They tried to lift them themselves, but even the lightest of them weighed around 20 kilograms.

The school adds:

Every interested student also had the unusual opportunity to spray water from a fire hose, which brought immense joy to the children’s faces. The ladies were also pleased, because the children managed to wash the cars parked nearby.

The girls watched with interest as firefighter-rescuers demonstrated how to provide first aid and showed how they carry an injured person on a stretcher.

And adds:

An interesting experience was trying on a firefighter’s uniform, helmet and special mask that makes it possible to breathe in a smoke-filled room. There was also an opportunity to sit behind the wheel of the vehicle, spend time in the cab and, for a moment, feel like Fireman Sam from the children’s cartoon—because who did not dream of becoming a firefighter as a child!

And concludes:

It was a wonderful adventure and an amazing lesson, for which we would like to offer our heartfelt thanks and express our gratitude, wishing every firefighter as many call-outs as happy returns to their station and family home.
