The incident took place during the night of June 1–2 in Kliczków. As reported by the volunteer firefighters from Osiecznica, at 12:28 a.m. they were dispatched to a fire in an apartment in Kliczków.
We have established that an electrical installation short circuit occurred in the premises. Two people left the building. The danger was eliminated; fortunately, no one was injured.
Firefighters from Osiecznica and Bolesławiec took part in the operation. The latter emphasize that the homeowner acted very sensibly by tightly closing the room where the fire broke out, greatly limiting the oxygen supply. Had he not done so, the fire would have spread, and consequently the damage would certainly have been more serious. It would also undoubtedly have been necessary to send more fire-service crews to the scene.
