Scope of the planned works:
- expansion of national road no. 94,
- demolition of the existing bridge structure,
- construction of two new bridge structures along national road no. 94,
- construction of a roundabout at the intersection of national road no. 94 and voivodeship road no. 350,
- reconstruction of the roundabout intersection of national road no. 94 and the municipal road (Zgorzelecka Street),
- reconstruction of the intersection of national road no. 94 and district road 2324D,
- reconstruction of the intersection of national road no. 94 and municipal road 104068D,
- construction of bus platforms,
- construction of noise protection measures (screens).
As reported by the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways:
To avoid disruptions associated with the works, the project will be carried out while maintaining continuous traffic across the bridge crossing.
The works will be divided into two main stages:
- construction of the northern bridge structure, over which all traffic in both directions will travel until the second bridge structure is built,
- demolition of the existing bridge structure and construction of the southern bridge.
Once both bridges have been built and two intersections reconstructed, the section of national road no. 94 between the new roundabouts will have two carriageways.
Current work schedule:
- Planned date for announcing the tender for the project – Q4 2023.
- Planned start date for construction works – Q1/Q2 2024.
- Planned completion date for construction works – mid-2026.
