Police officers from the Police Station in Nowogrodziec determined that the perpetrators of the burglary at a building belonging to the Bolesławiec forest district were two residents of Osiecznica Commune.

The suspects surveyed the area during the day and returned to the vicinity of the forest nursery at night. First, they used a metal pipe to tear out the grating, then smashed a window and entered the premises through it, stealing a brushcutter and a leaf blower belonging to a company providing forestry services.

After the suspects were detained, police officers determined where the burglars had hidden their loot. Property worth PLN 3,000 was secured in the forest.

The 27-year-old and his 30-year-old accomplice were charged with burglary, for which they face up to 10 years in prison.
