Experts from the Lower Silesian KAS, during a customs and tax inspection, detected that the company had provided false information in its tax declarations. The company used unreliable VAT invoices worth over PLN 21 million for deductions and issued bogus invoices worth more than PLN 1 million.
– The invoices documented false transactions involving the purchase of spare parts and forwarding and transport services, as well as the fictitious sale of renovation and construction services. The company (the purchaser) overstated input tax arising from fictitious purchases, thereby avoiding payment of a PLN 1.7 million VAT liability – explains Agnieszka Rzeźnicka-Gniadek, press spokesperson for the Lower Silesian KAS.
She adds: – An analysis of the Standard Audit File (JPK) made it possible to identify transactions that did not reflect actual business events. The analysis provided experts with evidence that the company was participating in tax fraud and fictitious invoice trading.
She further adds:
An additional liability (sanction) of nearly PLN 1.7 million was imposed on the company. KAS secured approximately PLN 2 million against tax arrears.
