In the 29th round of the competition, BKS lost 2:3 (2:2) to the league’s second-placed team, Polonia Środa Śląska. Polonia players started the match better and took the lead in the 11th minute, scoring from a free kick. Adam Andrusiak was entered on the scoresheet. In the 23rd minute, it was already 2:0 thanks to a goal by Łukasz Skolimowski.

Despite being two goals behind, BKS managed to recover a few minutes later and equalize before the break. First, Karol Borowski scored a goal to make it 2:1, and Gabriel Piotrowski brought the score level. In the second half, both teams fought hard and created chances, while the outcome of the match remained undecided virtually until the very end.

Unfortunately, Bolesławiec played with 10 men for the final several minutes because Artur Spraski received a second yellow card, ultimately resulting in a red card. Then, in stoppage time, in the final action of the match, Polonia managed to tip the balance of victory in its favor. Kuba Biliński scored the winning goal from a corner.

Saturday’s defeat was all the more disappointing because, based on the course of play, Bolesławiec deserved a draw. After the match, BKS fans had many complaints about the referee. In their opinion, the referee allowed play to continue longer in stoppage time than had previously been indicated.

The defeat to Polonia, along with today’s 5:2 victory by Odra Ścinawa over Mewa Kunice, means that BKS’s fight to remain in the IV league will be decided in the final match of the spring round, which BKS will play away against Gryf Gryfów Śląski. To remain in the IV league, Bolesławiec must retain seventh place in the table. Odra Ścinawa is also competing for that place.
