On Saturday, May 13, gatherings and silent marches will take place throughout Poland during the funeral of the eight-year-old boy murdered in Częstochowa. In Bolesławiec, we will meet at 1:00 p.m. in the Market Square to show together that Kamil from Częstochowa’s fate has moved us to the depths of our hearts.

Our readers encouraged us to take action by asking whether such a gathering would take place in Bolesławiec. Joanna wrote:

My heart breaks whenever I hear about it everywhere. I have twins who are Kamil’s age, and I cannot imagine how anyone could inflict such great harm on a child.

Anyone affected by this death can come to the Market Square at 1:00 p.m. You can bring a teddy bear or another stuffed animal. We will spend time together, collect the stuffed animals, and then distribute them to Social Welfare Centres in the county and hand them over to the probation officers at the Family Court in Bolesławiec for the children under the care of these institutions.

If anyone would like to help organize the gathering or add something of their own, please contact Grażyna Hanaf by phone at 792 177 320 or by email: gh@istotne.pl.
