As reported by istotne.pl, Andrzej Kredkowski, deputy head of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship Assembly, voivodeship road no. 297 on the Lwówek Śląski–Pasiecznik section will be widened. An environmental decision has already been issued. If everything goes according to plan, work will begin in January next year and last approximately 2.5 years.

– The average roadway width will be 7 metres, so it will be wider than the route between Lwówek and Bolesławiec. There will be a passing bay between Golejów and Wojciechów – explains the deputy chair of the Assembly. – Drivers coming from Lwówek will immediately enter two lanes by the church in Golejów, making it possible to pass TIRs. And at the top there will be a parking area with a view of the Karkonosze and Lubomierz.

He adds: – There will be an identical passing bay in the opposite direction as well – from Wojciechów.
