The IV League players of BKS Bolesławiec are having no luck at the stadium in Raciborowice. On Saturday, 6 May, in their second match played at this venue, the Bolesławiec side suffered their second defeat. The match against AKS Strzegom was very important in terms of the fight to remain in the IV League. Unfortunately, the Strzegom side proved better and won 1–0.

The only goal of the match, and the winning goal for AKS, came in the 7th minute. Igor Rajca was the scorer. BKS had its chances, but neither Karol Borowski, who waited too long to take his shot, nor Maciej Szewczyk, who shot straight at the goalkeeper in a one-on-one situation, managed to convert them.

In the second half, the Bolesławiec side had further chances to score, but lacked an effective finish. The Strzegom side also had their opportunities throughout the match. It is enough to mention a shot under the crossbar, which Tomasz Hajduczek brilliantly saved, and another effort after which the ball struck the crossbar of the BKS goal.

The Bolesławiec side finished Saturday’s match with ten men. Late in the game, the referee interpreted the BKS goalkeeper’s intervention and collision with an AKS player as a foul and showed the goalkeeper a red card. Dawid Kizyma took his place between the posts, and BKS played the rest of the match with 10 men. After this match, BKS are seventh in the league table.

Next week, the Bolesławiec side will face Odra Ścinawa away, and in the context of the fight to remain in the IV League, it will be a match with a proverbial knife at their throat.
