A Reader informed us that there is a “lice infestation” at the Primary School in Raciborowice and that many children have lice. They also added:

(…) I found out that the school nurse is forbidden from checking the children’s heads at all, even those whose parents have given consent for it.

We asked the Warta Bolesławiecka Municipality Office about the matter. Mayor Mirosław Haniszewski said:

(…) The municipality was informed that at the Public Primary School in Raciborowice Dolne, 2 students in one class have lice.

The head of the municipal government emphasizes: – At every school, the nurse is obliged to check the children’s heads and fulfills this duty.

They also add:

There is no problem with head lice in the schools of Warta Bolesławiecka Municipality. If such an isolated case occurs, the school nurse informs the principal, and the parents are then informed. They are responsible for treating the child and not sending them to school until they have recovered.
