Officers from the Traffic Division of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica, while on duty using a video recorder on sections of the A4 Motorway, noticed a Mercedes travelling at 195 km/h in a section where the speed limit is 110 km/h.
After measuring the speed, the officers stopped the driver of the vehicle for a roadside inspection. During the proceedings, it also turned out that he was wanted in order to establish his place of residence for legal purposes. After the officers completed their actions, the man was released, and for the offence they imposed a fine of PLN 2,500. The offender's record was also increased by 15 penalty points.
Let us remember that excessive speed is one of the main causes of road accidents. Therefore, let us obey the applicable speed limits and adjust our speed to the conditions on the road.
