As part of the investment, a referees’ tower building is planned. A category IVA track, together with the necessary warm-up facilities, is to be built. It will be possible to hold official sporting competitions under the auspices of the Polish Athletics Association. The dimensions of the pitch allow football matches for the PZPN III league championship to be played.

The athletics stadium will be equipped with: a 400-metre circular athletics track (6 circular lanes and 8 straight lanes); two high-jump runways; two double-lane long-jump and triple-jump runways; a two-sided pole-vault runway; two javelin-throw areas; a discus- and hammer-throw area; two shot-put areas; and a water jump for steeplechase events.

Inside the track, a pitch with a natural-grass surface and a playing area measuring 64 x 100 metres is planned. Technical infrastructure for servicing athletics competitions will also be installed in the pitch. Professional football goals will be installed behind the goal lines. The goals will be removed during athletics competitions. The pitch will be equipped with stadium shelters for substitute players and a shelter for referees.

The complex will include, among other features: a warm-up shot-put area; a warm-up track with a long-jump and triple-jump runway; and mobile stadium shelters for the substitute players of both teams. The construction of the stands is planned for the next stage of the investment. Modernization work on the stadium will continue until September 2024.

It is worth recalling that in March this year, an agreement was signed for the modernization of the Municipal Stadium on Spółdzielcza Street as part of the “Modernization and Expansion of the Stadium in Bolesławiec” project. The agreement was signed by Bolesławiec mayor Piotr Roman and, on behalf of the contractor, TAMEX Obiekty Sportowe S.A. of Warsaw, represented by Robert Burzycki, vice-president and managing director. The agreement is worth PLN 24,489,968. The contract is co-financed with PLN 4,500,000 from the Government Polish Deal Fund: Strategic Investment Programme and PLN 1,999,900 from the Physical Culture Development Fund under the Sportowa Polska – Local Sports Infrastructure Development Programme – 2021 Edition.

The stadium on Spółdzielcza Street is managed by the Municipal Sports and Recreation Centre. The facility will serve the Bolesławiec community, including local sports clubs.

The istotne.pl editorial team has learned that the pitch will be illuminated and an irrigation system will be installed.
