Seed sowing has just been completed in Bolesławiec in areas previously prepared for wildflower meadows. The areas cover a total of 2.3 hectares and are located at the following sites: Głowackiego Street – town park grounds, the boulevard along the Bóbr River, the area by Murarska Street, Tysiąclecia Avenue, Gałczyńskiego Street and Jana Pawła II Street.
In summer, the flowering cornflowers, corn cockles, angelica, great mullein, ribwort plantain, greater plantain, dotted kidney vetch, chicory, common St John’s wort, ragged robin, hyssop, caraway, common bird’s-foot trefoil, meadow goat’s-beard, purple loosestrife, yarrow, drooping avens, dandelion, semi-long parsnip, marshmallow, bistort, dyer’s chamomile, common motherwort, meadow sage, woolly sage, wild mauve mallow, meadowsweet, tansy, oxeye daisy and viper’s bugloss will delight the eye.
Bolesławiec is participating in the “Kwitnące Łąki” Cooperation Network project במסגרת the Interreg V-A Czech Republic – Poland programme.
