On Saturday, April 8, a postponed match between the leading teams of Group III of the Jelenia Góra A-class was played in Ocice. Second-place GKS Cement Raciborowice travelled to face the table’s third team, LKS Ocice.
The match attracted a record number of fans. Many of them were probably hoping for a surprise and a home victory. There were also plenty of Raciborowice supporters in the stands, who in turn are counting on their team winning and being promoted to the regional league. Surely, many people attending the match wanted to see Dawid Janczyk and Grzegorz Bartczak in action.
The hosts made the better start. Early in the match, Grzegorz Karaban converted a penalty.
The visitors then began to take control. The hosts focused mainly on defending. As time passed, the visitors’ attacks became increasingly dangerous, but Ocice’s defence and goalkeeper dealt effectively with the threats. However, a few minutes before the referee sent both teams into the break, Krzysztof Karpowicz brought the score level.
After the change of ends, GKS’s advantage became increasingly clear. The visitors took the lead through a shot by Radosław Pawlusiński. Then Dawid Janczyk also added his name to the scoresheet twice. His second goal, late in the match, was particularly spectacular. Dawid unleashed a powerful shot from outside the penalty area and the ball rippled the net.
LKS Ocice – GKS Cement Raciborowice 1:4 (1:1).
