On 22 March 2023, the duty officer of the Bolesławiec Municipal Police received a report about renovation waste being dumped on Staszica Street. Municipal police officers went to the indicated location; the report was confirmed. The officers said: – In the course of the official actions carried out, the person responsible for littering the area was identified. They were fined and obliged to remove the pollution.
The Bolesławiec Municipal Police remind residents:
Polluting or littering a place accessible to the public, in particular a road, street, square, garden, lawn or green area, is prohibited. A person committing such an act commits an offence specified in Article 145 of the Petty Offences Code, punishable by a fine of no less than PLN 500. We also point out that everyone is obliged to sort waste, while evading this obligation—that is, failing to sort waste or doing so improperly—is also an offence punishable by a fine of up to PLN 500.
It also adds:
It is worth recalling that the Bolesławiec Municipal Waste Selective Collection Point (PSZOK) operates in the city at 6 Staszica Street in Bolesławiec. Sorted waste is collected there from Bolesławiec residents free of charge: plastic, glass and paper, as well as bulky waste and biodegradable waste, i.e. leaves and grass. The PSZOK also collects used electrical and electronic equipment. Among other things, residents can take used tyres from passenger cars, clothing, carpets, prams, bicycles and clean rubble there. If we have this type and quantity of waste, which we cannot place in publicly accessible containers for selective waste collection, often located near waste-container enclosures, it should be delivered to the PSZOK rather than left beside the containers.
Before handing over specific waste, contact the Customer Service Office of the Municipal Utilities Management Plant in Bolesławiec for detailed information about waste collection (tel. 75 734 62 71, extension 34, or mobile tel. 603 862 617) or the Municipal Waste Selective Collection Point (tel. 75 734 62 71, extension 21).

It adds:
We inform you that placing bulky waste, such as a sofa bed, armchair or wardrobe, beside waste-container enclosures is permitted, and the need for its collection should be reported by telephone at 601 568 817 or by email: gabaryty@mzgk.com.pl.We appeal to residents to pay attention to situations in which waste is stored improperly, harming our environment and blighting our city. Such irresponsible dumping of rubbish may result in a fine or the submission of a request to the court for punishment.
