#NaPolanie is one of the most modern facilities of its kind in Europe. It consists of a spacious stadium and biathlon shooting range, as well as a main building containing, among other things, all the facilities needed to organise competitions. The facility’s first official test was the Polish Roller-Ski Biathlon Cup, held from 13 to 15 September 2022.

The Dolnośląskie Centrum Sportu #NaPolanie is also an important step towards bringing the most important international sporting events back to Poland and Lower Silesia, as its facilities can easily be adapted for hosting and running them. National sports associations approach international federations about organising these events. At the beginning of 2024, Polana Jakuszycka will host the European Junior Biathlon Championships.

“The new facility will certainly also help organise subsequent editions of the winter Bieg Piastów, increase the comfort of participants and fans, as well as everyone who visits this place every day,” says Maciej Klóska, president of the Dolnośląski Park Innowacji i Nauki, which manages the #NaPolanie facility.

Since the Dolnośląskie Centrum Sportu began operating, the facility has also been used by students of the School of Sports Excellence and other local schools. Young biathletes train here regularly during the week, making use of the roller-ski track and sports shooting range.

#NaPolanie works closely with representatives of sports associations and the athletes themselves, who see the centre as a place to prepare for the most important competitions.
