As the District Veterinary Inspector in Bolesławiec emphasizes:

Under the Act on the Protection of Animal Health and the Control of Infectious Animal Diseases, dogs over 3 months of age are subject to mandatory preventive vaccination against rabies.

And adds:

Dog owners are required to vaccinate their dogs against rabies within 30 days of the dog reaching 3 months of age, and subsequently at least every 12 months from the date of the last vaccination.

Rabies vaccinations for dogs are administered by veterinarians providing veterinary services as part of an animal treatment facility. After the vaccination, the dog owner is issued a certificate or the vaccination is entered in the health booklet/passport.

The District Veterinary Inspector warns:

Failure to comply with the obligation to have a dog preventively vaccinated against rabies is punishable by a fine of up to PLN 500. Rabies is the most dangerous zoonotic disease. By vaccinating your dog, you protect yourself!
