Driving from Bolesławiec to Łaziska, on the left-hand side, before the roundabout and bypass, some drivers notice a buried asphalt internal road. Mounds of earth are piled on the road.
At first, one thought comes to mind: first they build it, then they bury it. One might think: what kind of absurdity is this? As it turns out, this is not absurd at all, but a considered action. Why has this road been buried? You will find the answer below the photograph.
Romuald Ochyra, Head of the Investments and Infrastructure Department, Bolesławiec Municipality Office:
Bolesławiec Municipality owns plot no. 815/2 in Łaziska (an internal road—closed to traffic and not subject to the Public Roads Act). The investor in the project jointly financed by the Municipality and the City of Bolesławiec, namely the Bolesławiec District Roads Authority, received permission to temporarily store material for the project involving the construction of a sidewalk on the section from the roundabout in Łaziska to Kosiby Street in Bolesławiec. Once the project was completed, the contractor was obliged to restore the site to its original condition.
So this concerns the long-awaited construction of a pedestrian and cycle path that will connect Bolesławiec with Łaziska.
