It provides funding for educational cultural projects connected with celebrating Flag Day, as well as those addressing the history, significance and rules for using the symbols of the Republic of Poland.

The White Eagle, the white-and-red colours and “Mazurek Dąbrowskiego” are symbols of the Republic of Poland defined in the Act of 31 January 1980 and afforded special legal protection. The national emblem, colours and anthem symbolise our independent state; they are elements uniting the national community around its heritage and values, jointly form the foundation of our identity and retain their relevance despite the passage of time.

The “National Symbols of the Republic of Poland” grant programme provides funding for educational cultural projects connected with Flag Day, as well as those addressing the history of the national symbols, their exceptional significance and the rules for using them. The programme is also intended to support the wider presence of the symbols of the Republic of Poland defined by law in public spaces and social life, particularly on the occasion of important national holidays and events and historical anniversaries.
