Polskie Radio has signed a cooperation agreement with the Lower Silesian Park of Innovation and Science covering mutual promotion, including granting the public broadcaster the title of Media Patron of the Lower Silesian Sports Centre at Polana Jakuszycka. The choice of Polskie Radio and Radio Jedynka as the media partner of the Lower Silesian Sports Centre was entirely natural, as it is a station that has been associated with Polana Jakuszycka for years.

Polskie Radio has been associated with the Bieg Piastów from the very beginning, when the event was still organised by Julian Gozdowski. Only 500 people took part in the first race, and, as the organiser said, he involved his entire family in the event. This year’s 47th Bieg Piastów brought together hundreds of runners from 25 countries.

– Polana Jakuszycka is an extraordinary place, combining nature with sport and recreation. The new facility offers not only numerous amenities for athletes, but also space for Jedynka Polskiego Radia to present our radio world. It is an opportunity to create new projects and events. We are proud to become the official partner of a place that is important to us at Jedynka and to our listeners – said Marcin Kusy, director of Programme 1 of Polskie Radio.

The Polskie Radio studio, located on the grounds of the sports centre, will be an integral part of the public broadcaster’s activities.

The Lower Silesian Sports Centre #naPolanie is a facility meeting the requirements of international federations, with all the amenities necessary for professional training. A sports hall, gyms, training machines, wellness facilities and a hypoxia system regulating the oxygen content in the room – all this can be found #NaPolanie.
