On Wednesday (22 February), the Nowogrodziec City Council held a session. During the proceedings, votes were held on the dismissal of the council’s chairperson and deputy chairperson.
Łukasz Konrad Izydorczyk, Chairperson of the Nowogrodziec City Council, was dismissed. Mirosław Mielnik, Deputy Chairperson of the Nowogrodziec City Council, was also dismissed.
Arkadiusz Kosior was appointed deputy chairperson by a vote; as our reader informs us, he ran for the council on behalf of the mayor. Antonina Szelechowicz was elected the new Chairperson of the Nowogrodziec City Council.
As the reader informs us:
(...) People who disagree with the mayor’s policies are being removed from their positions. The mayor is carrying out purges, and today it was their turn (the chairperson and deputy chairperson of the city council – Editor’s note) (...).
