A reader sent us a video showing how Dolne Młyny Street in Bolesławiec is being cleaned and wrote:
This is how they clean it: first the street sweeper drives by, and then they blow the dirt out. Surely it should be the other way around.
The video shows a street sweeper driving along the right edge of the road. On the other side of the road, men with blowers are blowing rubbish lying along the left edge into the very middle of the street.
We assumed that the rubbish had not really been left in the street like that. Especially since, on closer inspection of the beginning of the video, a parked car can be seen on the right side of the frame. The street sweeper certainly could not have driven there.
As Krzysztof Basiak, president of Miejski Zakład Gospodarki Komunalnej w Bolesławcu, explains, this is exactly what post-winter cleaning looks like. It has to be done several times. The street sweeper drove through Dolne Młyny Street again.
