The large number of guests who came to this special evening were welcomed by clay men and clay women created by young aspiring actors from the “Wolność” Theatre under the supervision of stage arts instructor Żenia Reznik.
Kornel Filipowicz, director of BOK–MCC, invited everyone in his welcoming speech to the 29th Bolesławiec Ceramics Festival, which will take place in the third week of August, and to the sixth Glina Show. The event organized at Forum was, after all, intended to promote Bolesławiec’s most important celebration.
“We started with a few stalls; now the Ceramics Festival is the largest ceramics fair not only in Poland, but also in the world,” said Piotr Roman, who attended the event. “It is an event for all of us, primarily business-oriented, but also with a very important social dimension. And an official cannot create that. That is why the Glina Show is such a delight. It is a different part of the Ceramics Festival, beautifully complementing its other elements,” the mayor added.
After the premiere of the novella “Glina Show: Tower of People. Closeness, Trust, Courage,” which we present in this article, the girls from ZUMBA TEAM Joanna&Magdalena took the stage. Their energetic and joyful dance warmed up the audience before the stars of the evening: acrobats from the Bolesławiec section of the Ocelot Foundation.
It was an evening for Bolesławiec’s “Porcelain Figurines”—talented young residents of Bolesławiec County and the neighboring counties. The children’s performance, which lasted more than half an hour, was warmly applauded and recorded by their moved parents. It was the Bolesławiec group’s first stage performance. Marek Jaworowski and his son Patryk, who train young talents every day, could not hide their emotion.
On the day of the premiere, the istotne.pl portal gave the young artists a gift: we purchased a special professional portable mat for them, made of interlocking puzzle pieces, for outdoor training.
“It will serve us perfectly,” said Marek Jaworowski. “And we will certainly perform our program on it during this year’s Glina Show,” the coach declared.
Thursday evening was a very warm and positive event, reminding everyone that together we can achieve more, do better and be braver!
