Officers from the Investigative Department of the Bolesławiec Police proved that the woman had committed 52 offences against her grandfather. KPP: – The investigation has concluded with an indictment, and the case will now be heard in court.
The suspect first stole the senior’s bank card, which she then used repeatedly, breaking into his account and withdrawing cash. On a single occasion, she withdrew as much as PLN 2,000.
That was not the end of it. Police:
The granddaughter also used the older man’s electronic banking passwords, as she had previously helped him set up Internet access. The 28-year-old transferred various amounts of money to herself, ranging from PLN 500 to as much as PLN 4,200.
And adds:
In addition, the Bolesławiec resident broke into a safe deposit box belonging to the victim and stole EUR 800.
In total, the woman from Bolesławiec stole more than PLN 60,000. She now faces up to 10 years in prison.
