Dawid Janczyk joins GKS Raciborowice! What number will he wear?

The 35-year-old striker, a former Poland international and former player of clubs including Legia Warszawa, CSKA Moscow, Korona Kielce, Piast Gliwice and Sandecja Nowy Sącz, has joined GKS Raciborowice. Dawid Janczyk will appear for the Raciborowice club in the spring round of the competition.

As reported by the GKS Raciborowice profile:

(...) He will play his matches wearing number "15." We remind you that talks between the player and the club had been ongoing since October last year.

Dawid, after passing his medical tests, will officially join our team for league competition, engaging in our football projects and helping us secure promotion to the next, higher league... Welcome aboard, Dawid—we wish you many wonderful sporting moments at our club (...).

The player has a difficult past and has struggled with alcohol problems. Most recently, he played at the regional league level (Kuyavian-Pomeranian group II) for Sadownik Waganiec. Now he is expected to help the Raciborowice team gain promotion, initially to the regional league... and later, who knows, perhaps to higher leagues...

GKS Raciborowice will play its first match of the spring round, in group III of class A, at the weekend (11–12 March) in Ocice.
