The 24-year-old resident of Nowogrodziec municipality is an enthusiast of motorized two-wheelers. The exchange of information between officers from Bolesławiec and the police station in Nowogrodziec led to the suspect’s arrest and the filing of charges against him.
The man will answer for two thefts and an attempted burglary. After the offender learned that detectives were looking for him following the theft of a motorcycle from a garden shed, he left his loot... near the victim’s property.
In the case of the second theft, police secured the moped from a fence, who was also charged in connection with the case.
The third offence attributed to the 24-year-old was an attempted burglary of an outbuilding. Officers: – The offender took a motorcycle and a saw, but the victim’s reaction and that of her dog caused the criminal to abandon his loot and flee.
The 24-year-old now faces a sentence of one to 10 years in prison. The fence could be jailed for up to five years.
