Officers from the Criminal Division of the Jawor police determined through operational work that a 25-year-old resident of the town possessed narcotic substances at his place of residence. The police therefore went to the previously established address to check whether the information was indeed true.
In front of one of the residential buildings located in central Jawor, the detectives noticed a BMW passenger car in which a 25-year-old man was sitting, visibly nervous at the sight of the police. He was well known to Jawor law enforcement officers for previous misconduct. During a thorough search of the man, the detectives found in his underwear an aluminum package containing a white powder, a gray envelope filled with green dried plant material, and one tablet bearing the logo of a well-known car brand.
The man was arrested and taken to the Jawor police station. A preliminary test with a drug tester showed that the seized substances were methamphetamine and marijuana. In total, Jawor officers seized several dozen retail portions of these drugs.
On January 25, the suspect was charged and will face the court. For possession of narcotic and psychotropic substances, the man faces up to 3 years in prison.
