The Bolesławiec City Council session is under way. Law and Justice councillor Bogdan Biernat pointed out to the city authorities that in one of the educational books, Bolesławiec was called the “city of porcelain.”
President Piotr Roman: – President Andrzej Duda, when he came to us, found out that there was more than one ceramics factory. In fact, there are nearly 40 of them (in Bolesławiec and the surrounding area).
He noted that the President of Poland immediately apologized and, as “compensation,” assumed patronage of the Bolesławiec Ceramics Festival.
Piotr Roman added that Bolesławiec still had a lot to do in this area and that he now begins every presentation by saying that there are many ceramics factories in our city and its surrounding area.
