CERT Polska reported on social media about a fake email whose authors impersonated the secretariat of the Department of International Affairs and Migration at the Ministry of the Interior and Administration. The email suggested that refugees from Ukraine allegedly had to be reported using the form attached to the message.
Ministry of the Interior and Administration:
We remind you that such messages should be ignored. Do not reply to them or forward them. Incidents of this type should be reported to CERT at: https://incydent.cert.pl/.
We also inform you that the correct MSWiA email addresses always contain the domain adres@mswia.gov.pl.
They also add:
We urge you to exercise caution when using the internet. Anyone who uses a computer, tablet, smartphone, social media platforms or email can become the target of a phishing attack (the distribution of fake emails). It is one of the most effective and widespread types of fraud.
