As reported by the Bolesławiec Municipality Office:

(...) in 2023, the monthly municipal waste management fee did not change and, in accordance with a resolution of the Bolesławiec Municipal Council, amounts to:

  • PLN 30.00 per person if waste is collected and picked up separately.

The local authority adds:

The municipal waste collection fee applies to all persons living in the Bolesławiec Municipality (including those not registered there).

A declaration submitted to the Municipal Office provides the basis for calculating and paying the municipal waste management fee.

The municipal waste management fee for properties inhabited by residents must be paid without a demand for payment, in a total amount for three calendar months, by the following deadlines:

  1. for the first quarter by 15 March of the given year,
  2. for the second quarter by 15 May of the given year,
  3. for the third quarter by 15 September of the given year,
  4. for the fourth quarter by 15 November of the given year.

It also adds:

In accordance with the resolution of the Bolesławiec Municipal Council, the municipal waste management fee must be paid by bank transfer to the bank account of the Bolesławiec Municipal Office (i.e. the individual bank account number assigned to each person liable for the fee).

Detailed information can be obtained at the Bolesławiec Municipal Office during office hours and by telephone at 75 732 32 21–23, extension 121.

It is also recalled that, pursuant to Article 6m(2) of the Act on Maintaining Cleanliness and Order in Municipalities, if there is a change in the data constituting the basis for determining the amount of the municipal waste management fee due, or the quantity of municipal waste generated at a given property specified in the declaration, the property owner is obliged to submit a new declaration by the 10th day of the month following the month in which the change occurred.

Circumstances requiring a new declaration include, among others:

  • a change in the number of residents (e.g. a new resident moving in, moving out, death, the birth of a child, etc.),
  • sale of the property,
  • a change of property owner or the form of possession of the property.

If the person liable does not submit a declaration (or if there are justified doubts concerning the data contained in the declaration), the municipal waste management fee may, pursuant to Article 6o of the Act on Maintaining Cleanliness and Order in Municipalities, be assessed by means of a decision based on the data held by the Municipal Office.

The municipality appeals to residents to report changes in the data constituting the basis for determining the amount of the municipal waste management fee by submitting an accurate declaration of the fee amount. The local authority states: “Failure to fulfil this obligation leads to an administrative decision on the matter, resulting in arrears and interest.

It also informs:

(...) the data contained in submitted declarations (primarily concerning the stated number of residents living at the property) are continuously verified, and if discrepancies arise between them and the data held by this office, requests for explanations and amendments to the declarations are sent.
