Officers from the Police Station in Nowogrodziec detained two men who broke into a garage and stole items worth nearly PLN 2,000. The suspects are residents of the Nowogrodziec municipality, aged 29 and 31.

Officers determined that the burglary location had been chosen at random. After entering the room, the perpetrators assessed what was inside and decided to steal a bicycle, on which they loaded the rest of their loot: a generator, a toolbox and a water pump.

As a result of checking the utility rooms used by the older man, officers recovered the generator and the pump.

The information gathered indicates that the stolen bicycle has already acquired a new owner, so officers are continuing their efforts to secure the remaining items lost as a result of the crime.

The suspects are known to the local police because they already have burglaries and thefts on their records. The 31-year-old has previously served a prison sentence for similar crimes, so this time he faces up to 15 years in prison for burglary. The 29-year-old faces up to 10 years in prison.
