Bolesławiec’s Hypernova Will Not Change Owner

At the end of last year, it became clear that Carrefour would take over thirteen Hypernova hypermarkets from Ahold Polska. This led to speculation that the store in Bolesławiec would change its name and owner.

"The store in Bolesławiec is not subject to the agreement concerning Carrefour’s takeover of Hypernova stores," Maria Cieślikowska, Director of External Communications at Carrefour Polska, told Boleslawiec.org. In doing so, she dispelled some Bolesławiec residents’ doubts about the future of the city’s largest market.

Carrefour and Ahold signed an agreement on the takeover of the stores in November last year. It stipulates that thirteen Hypernova hypermarkets will be taken over by Carrefour by the end of the first quarter of 2005. The facilities being taken over included, among others, the Hypernova in Jelenia Góra.
