The footbridge over the Bóbr is in very poor condition. It was supposed to be renovated starting in September 2022. Unfortunately, inflation has caused prices to rise. With the new prices proposed by renovation companies, the municipal authorities cannot afford to pay for the renovation.

“Our estimate amounts to 880,000 zlotys, while the cheapest bids we received exceeded 1,700,000 zlotys,” says Robert Rzepnicki from the municipal authorities. “We will postpone the renovation and observe whether market prices fall,” adds the head of the Public Procurement and Municipal Investments Department.

The footbridge was built in the 1970s and underwent essential repairs in July 2022 so that it could remain open for use. The Building Supervision Inspector confirms that the footbridge’s technical condition is good.
