“Thank you, Poland” – these words were heard in Bolesławiec’s Council Chamber, along with wishes expressed by children and young people from Ukraine.
On 22 December, young Ukrainians staying in Bolesławiec thanked the authorities and residents of Bolesławiec for the help and shelter they had provided. – We are very grateful for such a hospitable welcome and for your help in every possible and impossible way. As a gesture of gratitude, we prepared small handmade gifts for you – said Żenia Reznik, who runs the “Freedom” Theatre and integration and educational workshops for children from Ukraine at BOK-MCC.
The young people presented those gathered with handmade “motanka” dolls containing grains of cereal, symbolizing well-being, happiness and prosperity.
