The reconstruction of the Emergency Department increased its existing area to 950 m2. With nearly 1,000 m2 of modernized space, Saint Luke’s Hospital is among the largest emergency departments in Lower Silesia.
The total investment amounted to more than PLN 7 million, of which PLN 6 million was a grant from the Ministry of Health. Construction work cost nearly PLN 5 million, while medical equipment cost more than PLN 2 million.
The expansion increased the number of beds from 15 to 25. The new Emergency Department also includes Night and Holiday Healthcare.
For logistical reasons and for patient safety, treatment in the new space will begin on 9 January 2023, after the holiday period.
